Self-Employed Maintenance Coordinator 

Hourly rate of £20 per hour  

(average 5 hours per week up to £6000 pa with fluctuating work pattern)

 

Introduction

 

Somewhere Cooperative Housing Association (SCHA) is seeking a motivated and organised Maintenance Coordinator to work alongside our (member-led) maintenance team. SCHA manages eleven properties in South Bristol (Southville, Bedminster and Knowle). SCHA is continually working to improve our housing stock to make them better, more environmentally sustainable homes for our members and the role of the Maintenance Coordinator is integral to achieving those aims.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

​

• Assist SCHA with the project management of works carried out at co-op properties.  

• Be a point of contact and support for tenants regarding their maintenance issues. ● Clearly and effectively manage systems for recording work undertaken 

• Monitor and review the need for cyclical maintenance required at each property 

• Liaise with contractors and SCHA members while cyclical maintenance is taking  place. 

• Be responsible for ensuring contractors work to specified quality standards. 

• Produce appropriate specifications for planned works in compliance with current building regulations. 

• Undertake annual inspection of properties to ensure a good state of repair. 

• Attend and report back to maintenance meetings (one evening a month) 

• Attend general SCHA meetings as necessary to report progress on any live building projects. 

• Work within SCHA policies and procedures.
